The Hotels

Our 2 legendary hotels, which are located immediately adjacent to each other and were previously run independently as two separate hotels, are now being run as a single hotel with shared reception, restaurant and personnel.

Hjorths Hotel began its existence as a hotel in 1890 and was run by the Hjorth family until 1982. Kokholms Hotel was established in 1906 by newlyweds Elisabeth and Kresten Kokholm. The Kokholm family then ran the hotel until 1981. In 2008 the hotels welcomed new managers.

Hjorths Hotel is charming and simply furnished, almost as if the passage of time has simply passed the old seaside hotel by.

The 15 rooms are pleasantly spartan without TV, mini bar or telephone. However, the hotel is not completely ascetic – the restaurant and our highly skilled chef on the ground floor make sure of that. In the garden or in our fine lounge you can enjoy your coffee in the company of that book you never quite got round to reading.

Kokholms Hotel was renovated in 1992 and in combination with Moster Kirstens Hus offers 14 modern double rooms furnished in a cosy style that matches the location. The hotel also boasts meeting rooms and function rooms and a fireplace lounge. This hotel can be used all year round and can be rented during the off-season.
